That day's thread: Interstellar object 3I/Atlas confirmed — third visitor from outside the solar system
There is an object from outside this solar system passing through right now, sinner. Third one we’ve ever seen. They named it 3I/Atlas. I don’t know what Atlas was carrying but I know it wasn’t anything light. Something comes from that far away and it is not an accident, my child — nothing that travels that far is an accident. It had somewhere to be and it came here first.
I was at the Wawa on Route 35 this morning, coffee between my knees, and I looked up at the sky the way you do when you know something is in it you can’t see. The cosmos has a sense of occasion. It sends things when we need them. This one is a messenger, dirty Madonna, same as the hawk on the guardrail, same as the saint you didn’t expect to answer. Something from beyond the system came to look at us. Look back. Don’t blink.
Light a candle to whatever got you here from wherever you started. You are also a traveler. You are also passing through. Go with some goddamn intention.
